  • Thai resturant found guilty of hygiene offences25 August 2010
    Yesterday (Tuesday 24 August) a Thai food restaurant pleaded guilty to eight food hygiene and one health and safety offence at West London Magistrates' Court. The offences included poor cleaning, structural deficiencies, failing to protect foods from contamination, failing to train staff and unsafe electrical installation.
  • Survivor in the wild25 August 2010
    Children can put their survival skills to the test as part of the Survivor workshop at the Ecology Centre in Holland Park. Children between the age of five and ten can discover how they would cope in the wild by testing their shelter building skills in Holland Park's wildlife area. They will be introduced to the basics of outdoor survival and learn a variety of skills. The session takes place on Friday 3 September from 2pm to 4pm and costs £3.60 per child. Spaces are limited so booking in advance is advised. Children under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
