The Royal Borough of Kensington of Chelsea
is working in partnership with the City of Westminster and the Mayor of London, including Transport for London to transform Exhibition Road.
Both The Royal Borough and the City of Westminster have been involved in a series of high quality urban design projects, including improvements to Kensington High Street, The Strand and the pedestrianisation of Trafalgar Square.
The improvements are one of 10 pilot
projects in the Mayor of London’s 100 Public Spaces initiative, which will
create or improve 100 of the capital’s
public spaces.
Transport for London is working with the partners to improve transport links to the area, providing two new bus routes and improved tube station access.
Exhibition Road has the support of all the institutions, which have joined together to form the Exhibition Road Cultural Group.
