Parenting support is a priority for many services and organisations across Kensington and Chelsea, both statutory and voluntary. To ensure this support is being developed and delivered in the best possible ways, key people from across these agencies have come together to form the Kensington and Chelsea - Parenting Strategy Steering Group.
The Parenting Strategy Steering Group has worked together alongside parents/carers and community groups to produce the first Kensington and Chelsea Parenting Strategy. This strategy sets out how we intend to improve parenting support throughout the Royal Borough over the next three years.
To gain a better picture of parenting support in Kensington and Chelsea, we commissioned the Institute for Policy Studies in Education (IPSE) to research what works best in our community. See the report below:
Parenting Programmes help mums, dads and carers and other adults in parenting roles to build positive relationships with their children. There are various free parenting programmes that are currently available across the Borough.

The Parent Know How programme is a national initiative by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. It supports people in parenting roles - mothers, fathers, carers and other adults with parental responsibility - in a range of ways.
