Southern runway resurfacing project |
Arriving and departing aircraft will be able to use
only the northern runway between 22:30 and 06:00 on the nights when
resurfacing is taking place.
All Concorde departures on easterlies will have to use the northern
runway up until the project is completed in Summer 03.

When operating on easterlies (arrivals over
Berkshire) arriving aircraft can only use the southern runway, therefore
departing aircraft will need to use the northern runway.
Historically the
airport tends to operate on westerlies during this period. |

Completion of the southern runway
resurfacing project (necessary due to the poor weather in Summer
2002).This includes additional preparatory works to the southern runway.
Plus during this period the installation of the MLS on the southern runway
(London end) will also take place.
