From 1 September 2007 the Council will take over the responsibility of licensing Casinos, Betting Shops and other types of gambling premises. Advance applications for premises licences can be submitted between 21 May 2007 and 30 July 2007 for licences to commence on or after 1 September 2007. Application forms will be available from this website shortly.

From 7 February 2005 the Council is responsible for Licensing premises and persons selling alcohol.

Gambling premises will begin operating under their new premises licences from 1 September 2007 and “responsible authorities” and “interested parties” will then be able apply for these licences to be “reviewed” by the Licensing Authority. Further information on the review process will be posted on the website as soon as the Government publishes the Regulations.
From 24 November 2005 premises begin operating under their new premises licences and “responsible authorities” and “interested parties” may apply for these licences to be “reviewed” by the Licensing Authority. See Reviewing a premises licence / club premises certificate.
