Housing Conditions and Grants

The Royal Borough contains some of the most elegant and fashionable buildings in London, with property values amongst the highest in the country.

However, parts of the Borough are much less prosperous. Regrettably, squalid conditions still occur in the private rented sector and, over the years, Environmental Health has been actively engaged in securing improvements in housing conditions for some of the most vulnerable private tenants, occupying the properties of some particularly unscrupulous landlords.
