We will continually improve and update our lesson plans and Ecology Centre
resources and facilities in order to provide outdoor environmental education
to local schools that is effective, safe, enjoyable, linked to the national
curriculum, and good value for money.
We aim to achieve a minimum of 95 per cent "good" or
"excellent" rating on teacher feedback, and will monitor and act
on all comments.
We will provide enjoyable and informative school holiday activities;
information and talks on natural history, ecology and conservation; and
opportunities for conservation volunteer work.
We have a Local Biodiversity Action Plan with strategies for research,
monitoring, protecting and enhancing our biodiversity. We produce an annual
breeding bird indicator for 15 species in the borough.
