Borough ecological survey 2002

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea commissioned the London Wildlife Trust to carry out a survey of the wildlife habitats found in the Borough in order to inform the Council’s decision-making.

The purpose of the study was to ensure that the existing sites of nature conservation importance (SNCI) designations remain consistent with the current Greater London Authority (GLA) criteria for habitat designations, to propose any new sites and to analyse the changes which have occurred since the previous survey.
