Ecology
There are many ways that you can become involved in conservation. The Ecology Centre at Holland Park runs a series of events, activities and educational visits and workshops for schools. We also run a wildlife club for children, holiday activities, and a full programme of events for all ages. Read more about the Ecology Service and what we do:
Environmental visits for schools
The centre is a key resource for local schools and youth groups to study the natural environment. Field study trips and taught workshops are offered throughout the year, based on the varied habitats of the Holland Park wildlife area. Read more about environmental visits for schools.
Holiday activities for children
The Ecology Centre runs a scheme of outdoor and creative activities for five to ten year olds in the summer, Easter and half-term holidays. Read more about holiday activities for children.
Programme of events for all ages
We offer an ongoing programme of informative talks and walks on environment and wildlife topics, open days in the wildlife area, training events and workshops. Please contact us if you would like to be added to our events programme mailing-list.
Ecology Club
The club is open to local children aged from 8 -14 and meets every first Saturday of the month at the Ecology Centre from 2-4 pm.
The format of each themed session is normally a short talk, a walk or hunt around the park followed by an environment/wildlife related activity or game.
Spaces are very limited so please contact us at the Ecology Service if your child would like to join the waiting-list.
